Refund Policy

Focus: Defining "Work Started" vs "Work Completed."

1. Cancellation:

Before Initiation: If you cancel within 2 hours of payment and before the investigation starts, a full refund (minus 5% processing fee) is applicable.
Post Initiation: Once field investigators are assigned or desk research has started, no cancellations are accepted.

2. Refund Scenarios:

Unable to Verify: If we cannot verify a specific detail (e.g., an office is permanently closed), we will provide the "Status Unknown" report. No refund is provided as the effort of investigation was spent.
Service Delay: If the report is delayed beyond 15 working days (barring "Acts of God"), the client may request a 20% partial refund.

3. No Refund Policy:

Refunds are not provided if the client is unhappy with the result of the report (e.g., finding out a partner lied). The service is the act of checking, not the outcome of the check.
