What to have to hand
The candidate’s full name and date of birth
Exactly as they are written on their official documents. A spelling that differs from the record is the most common reason a check comes back inconclusive.
A phone number and email for the candidate
We use these to ask the candidate for consent in notified mode. Nothing is sent to them until you have placed the order and chosen that mode.
The claims you want tested
Employer and job title, college and year, current and permanent address, marital history. You do not need proof, you need the claim, and we check it against the record.
Your own contact details
A mobile number for order updates and an email address for the finished report.
What happens after you order
We settle consent
In notified mode the candidate is formally asked and told exactly which checks will run, and nothing starts until their written consent is on file. In confidential mode they are not approached, and the checks that legally need their own authorisation do not run at all.
The checks run against official sources
Turnaround is measured from the moment consent is received, not from the moment you pay.
An analyst reviews every finding
A named human reads the results, resolves what the records actually say, and signs off before anything reaches you.
Your report is delivered
You get a private link to the PDF, with the evidence behind each finding and a clear statement of anything that could not be checked.
In notified mode, if the candidate declines consent or does not answer within 48 hours, the checks never run and you are refunded in full. The refund policy sets this out in full.
Before you order, read what we cannot do
We do not follow anyone, we do not talk to neighbours or employers behind the candidate’s back, and we cannot promise that a check will find something that is not in an official record. A report with no findings is not proof of good character, it means the records we could reach said nothing against the claims we tested.
